    Bone Densitometry Foundation Course 2023

    This course will give you a fundamental knowledge of osteoporosis and Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA). It is suitable for all health professionals who carry out bone densitometry or work in related clinical research.

    It has been accredited for CPD by the Royal College of Physicians, the Society and College of Radiographers and the British Institute of Radiology.

    Bone Densitometry Foundation Course Assessment 2023

    The Bone Densitometry Foundation Course Assessment will test your knowledge of: osteoporosis, its assessment and prevention; the effects of and regulations on radiation associated with Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry; and the principles and practical techniques of Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry.

    Please note

    • There are 50 multiple-choice questions
    • There is only one correct answer to each question 
    • This course is accredited by the Federation of the Royal College of Physicians for 4 CPD credits and approved by the British Institute of Radiologists and the College and Society of Radiographers. 
    • The pass mark is 80% 
    • You have 1 hour to complete the assessment

    Once the assessment is successfully completed, you will be given access to your certificate.


    Fracture Prevention Practitioner Training

    This course will help you deliver excellent care to people with osteoporosis and fragility fractures, as well as those who are at risk.

    This course has been developed for people working in fracture prevention and osteoporosis, including Fracture Liaison nurses, allied health professionals, GPs and other clinicians, by experts using nationally-agreed best practice standards.

    It has been accredited for CPD by RCGP, RCP and RCN.
